Tomato Up!
Originally uploaded by doug_rA fun little outtake taking during the still life shooting I was doing yesterday. I'd been wanting to shoot this little vase filled with cherries but cherry season is long over but cherry tomatoes are ripe and abundant right now.

It wasn't until I got much closer to it that I realized that it has some rather amazing textures as well. I've no real understanding of why the tree grain would grow straight for four or so feet and then begin twisting like this.
